Fiber art quilt showing a silhouette of two young children holding hands
Gallery Holding Hands

Holding Hands

$0.00

Seeing my children hold hands is one of the things that melts my heart every time (even if it almost always ends in one child on top of the other). In fact, it was one of their first acts as siblings. When we brought my son home from the hospital, my daughter was 23 months old. We sat her next to her baby brother and she reached for his little hand with a smile and said “holding hand?” Now, a year and a half later, they both initiate the act on a daily basis.

This piece tries to capture that magical moment when they reach out to each other and show their love … before one pulls the other to the ground in a tackle.
