Anim Zmirot (approx. 18" x 18") This piece is inspired by a prayer that comes at the very end of Shabbat services – Anim Zmirot. The first line talks about weaving melodies, so this piece is constructed from strips of music fabric woven together. A single piece of red fabric with a music staff breaks free from the quilt and continues past the border. The piece is quilted with a wave pattern that moves along the diagonal in red thread, bringing the one red fabric into better harmony with the rest of the piece. In order to bring the music theme into the stitching, a G-Clef is added to the waves every once in a while. (See detail below.) $500 Shipping not included; NY sales subject to sales tax
