Shevat 5766 February 2006 (approx. 8.5" x 11") This month is a difficult one. In the depths of the winter, everything seems lifeless including me and my inspiration. The result, therefore is this lonely winter tree, thread painted with variegated thread on a snowy background. This tree represents the snowy landscape and my own internal winter, while honoring Tu B’Shevat, the Jewish new year for the trees, which is celebrated this month.
